About the Program
ARRTC 2008 is an updated and comprehensive approach to regional disaster response training. The overarching goal of ARRTC is to provide attendees, of all experience levels, with the skills needed to go back to their community, facility, and/or workplace and teach others what they have learned and to serve as effective leaders in disaster response. Building upon the successes of the past four years, ARRTC 2008 is designed for individuals charged with disaster response leadership for their organization, such as hospital administration and staff (Nursing Directors, Training Directors, and Administrators), Community Health Center administration and staff, EMS, EMA, Public Health, Nursing Home Administration, and Mental Health. ARRTC 2008 promises to meet a wide range of training needs, from the very basic to the more advanced. ARRTC training is regional training, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to interact, meet, and train with their regional response partners, away from the disruptions of their day-to-day responsibilities and duties. Two levels of training, ARRTC Basic and ARRTC Advanced, will be offered this year.
